DEAL 2026 is Data Wired's sponsor-funded acceleration programme, supporting women as they build clarity, confidence, practical skills and career momentum in data and technology.
THE PROGRAMME
From career uncertainty to structured action.
Data, Empowerment, Actualization & Leadership (DEAL) is a community impact initiative from Data Wired, designed to respond to the gaps that can hold women back in data-related careers: limited career clarity, access to mentorship and opportunities for applied, real-world experience.
Over six months, 34 women moved through a connected professional-development journey—career mapping, mentorship, learning support, applied projects and graduation.
THE 2026 JOURNEY

- January 2026
Career Mapping & Leadership Workshop
An in-person workshop in Harare with keynote talks, mentorship circles, panel discussions, career mapping and action planning.
- February–April 2026
Mentorship & Learning Journey Support
Virtual check-ins, learning support, progress reflection and peer accountability helped participants stay focused on their goals.
- May 2026
Applied Data Projects & Portfolio Development
Participants developed data projects and portfolio artefacts connected to their chosen career paths.
- June 2026
Graduation
Participants received certificates at a graduation held at the U.S. Embassy in Zimbabwe, recognising their commitment and progress.
